Spokane Indivisible Presents:
“One Big Beautiful Bill” - Healthcare Seminar Series
This presentation will share proposed changes, spotlight who stands to lose the most, and explore what to expect in healthcare across all communities in Eastern WA.
Behind the sweeping promises of the “Big Beautiful Bill” lies a stark reality: deep cuts to Medicaid, rising insurance premiums, and a healthcare landscape tilted further away from equity. While urban and suburban communities may feel the pinch through higher out-of-pocket costs and reduced coverage options, rural communities face even graver consequences—clinic closures, workforce shortages, and the erosion of safety-net programs that many depend on for survival.
What is going to happen to healthcare in Eastern WA following cuts to Medicaid in the Big Beautiful Bill?
What does Medicaid cover in rural, urban and suburban communities in Eastern WA?
How will Medicaid cuts affect healthcare coverage, healthcare services, and insurance premiums?
Why will the impacts of Medicated cuts be greatest on rural communities?
How will losses to healthcare in rural communities affect residents in the Spokane region?
