Spokane Indivisible Launches Billboard Campaign
We're holding Rep. Michael Baumgartner accountable for voting against Eastern Washington.

Why This Matters
Baumgartner was elected to represent the people of Eastern Washington—not to rubber-stamp billionaires’ tax breaks at the expense of working families, children, veterans, and seniors.
He voted in favor of Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill”, a federal budget proposal that:
Slashes Medicaid funding (called Apple Health in WA)
Guts SNAP benefits
Undermines support for veterans
Gives huge tax breaks to the wealthy
Help Us Fund the Billboard
We need your help to make this message visible across Eastern Washington.
Goal: Raise enough funds to install a billboard in downtown Spokane demanding accountability from Rep. Baumgartner.
Great news: Indivisible.org is matching donations up to $500 through the month of June!

What’s at Stake
Medicaid / Apple Health
In Eastern Washington:
87,000+ children (54% in the district) rely on Apple Health for doctor visits, dental care, vaccines, and more.
Apple Health supports school meals and preventive care.
72% of rural health clinics in our district depend on Medicaid funding. These clinics are often the only care option for entire communities.
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
Over 900,000 Washingtonians could lose or see reduced benefits.
The hardest hit? Children, seniors, and disabled individuals, especially in Eastern WA.
The bill adds harsher work requirements, punishing those who already struggle.
Veterans’ Benefits
Veterans and advocates are sounding alarms over:
VA staffing cuts, threatening healthcare access and claims processing.
Federal retirement changes that push skilled staff out of the system.
SNAP cuts that directly affect food-insecure veterans.
Deregulation of for-profit colleges, endangering GI Bill protections.
What Happens Next?
The “Big Beautiful Bill” is now in the Senate, where lawmakers are revising it. GOP leadership wants to send it back to the House before July 4—and that means Rep. Baumgartner could vote on it again.
Let’s send a clear message: Will Baumgartner vote for the people of Eastern Washington—or the billionaires?

this is a great idea to bring awareness and hopefully accountability to our elected officials.
I am curious if there could be increased transparency on the financial side of this. How much $$ are you looking to raise, and how much has been raised so far? How long is the rented billboard space for?
I believe the financials are unnecessary to publish. If the PAC issue is reporting necessity, then report and make interested party hunt for desired info rummaging thru PAC reporting library.
